Play your song

A new DT layout for Sketchabilities! A really fun sketch this time and a lot of fun creating it.

I started with a music mask and a little glimmer mist to make my background more interesting and to add a little color. The sketch has three squares on it, for photos.I decided to use only one photo and frame it with three paper squares.

Since the theme of my layout was music, I added a lot of music notes embellishments: I covered some chipboard flowers with music Washi tape, I punched music notes and added them to the layout.

I also cut a bird, birds sing so beautifully, don't you think?

Technique Corner - Create magical layouts

Who doesn't want a little magic? To enter a world of fantasy, enchantments fairies and witches? well, now you can! Create magical layouts in a few simple steps and you too can be transported to where all wishes come true.

1. first you have to set the right background. It has to have fairies or other magical beings, maybe a little sparkle and an overall feeling of a fantasy world. In order to create that I used glimmer mists and cut fairy images.

2. In order for your photo to completely merge with the scene, cut the image from the photo.
3. Add the image to the layout in a fairy tail style. It could be flying, sitting on a mushroom or
waiving a wand.

4. Add a title and embellishments.

The wonders of the world

I have a box full of photos that are not really good for scrapbooking. They have a busy background, they're blury ur they're just not pretty. I made up my mind to start creating layouts with these photos because it's areal shame to just leave them in the box.

This layout is made from 3 of these photos. Since the background was impossible I simply cut out the images and got rid of the background all together.

To enhance the photos I created a background or a frame for each one and embellished around it.

Time for adventure

I'm having so much fun with the Sketchabilities sketches! Here's another one that we got to play with.

I'm continuing with my latest craze...cutting out the image and creating a layout with it. This time I took three different images of my son and adhered them on paper squares to give them background.
I created a stamped background and added a little glimmer mist and glimmer glam for more depth.

I embellished the layout with different flag shapes and some buttons. For finishing touches I added Washi tape (you can't go without Washi tape).

you can still join the fun at Sketchabilities and enter your layout!

13 Years o Magic

I have a few last pics to share with you from my son's Bar-Mitzvah album.

He loves to read. Everywhere we go he always brings a book to pass the time.

Riding his scooter.

A beautiful boyscout. This is a pocket page with cards to write blessings.

he loves Astronomy and space, so I dedicated two pages to his favorite subject.

The door to my dreams is open!

Stay tune next Monday for all the tips & tricks on how I created this special album!
I want to thank you all my dear friends for all your love, warm words and compliments. I told my son how much love he got from each and everyone of you, and how much you all loved his special album. He smiled his cute, little smile and said..."tell them I love them all back!"

13 Years of Magic - Part 4

It has been a privilige and an honor to share this special album with all of you. Your comments here and on FB have really moved me. I thank you dear friends and I hope you'll enjoy these pages as well.
This is a "Nature scene" I created by using a bandage as the soil. I added chipboard flowers which I misted and embellished with flowers and leaves.

"Looking through the window" is one of my favorite pages in the album.

"Sitting on a branch" and "Frames" are both pages for writing blessing and adding words of whisdom.
